Tom Grennan’s single Sober is the follow up to his huge single Royal Highness which featured on the Radio 1 B List and Virgin playlists and saw him record a Maida Vale session for Annie Mac. Sober is another taster from his forthcoming debut album, Lighting Matches, which will be released on Insanity Records.

Tom said “I wanted to write about always getting really drunk. At one point in my life, I hated getting drunk, but I was always doing it, and the morning after I would always feel guilty. Then the next day I would get fucked up again. It’s about me not letting myself get sober. Then it took this whole different twist. It’s like a Bond song, and it’s one of the only songs on the record that takes me on a rollercoaster.”

Lighting Matches also features the single Found What I’ve Been Looking For, which was being used as the title music to Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage and has racked up over 10 million streams.

In March Grennan starts his biggest headline tour yet and includes a show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 20th March. The tour is now sold out.
