Download is back and will take place over the weekend of the 4th-6th June and given its absence it will be welcomed with huge excitement.

With a confirmed line-up for Download 2021, it was decided that only 10,000 fans could attend as part of a Pilot Festival. So for the 2022 Festival there has had to be some changes, and if it is possible this line-up is even better.

There will be over one hundred artists to grace the Main stage, the Second stage, The Avalanche stage and the Dogtooth stage, with headliners being Kiss on Friday, Iron Maiden on Saturday and Biffy Clyro closing on Sunday.

Other artists to appear on the Main stage on Friday include Skindred, A Day To Remember and Black Veil Brides. On the Second stage on Friday will be The Distillers, Airbourne and Myles Kennedy amongst others.

Headlining the Main stage on Saturday will be Iron Maiden, Deftones, Shinedown and The Pretty Reckless whilst on the Second stage Megadeth, Mastodon, Daughtry and Bush will all be there to entertain.

Closing the Festival on Sunday will be Biffy Clyro, Korn, Volbeat and Alestorm and on the Second stage will be Steel Panthers, The Darkness and Tremonti.

The Download Festival, is one the world’s premier rock event, that showcases many of the world’s most exciting bands in rock, punk, hardcore, and metal. The three-day festival takes place on 10th-12th June 2022 at the spiritual home of rock in Donington Park, Leicestershire.

With over one hundred bands confirmed to return to Donington in 2022, Download Festival could not be more ready to reunite with its incredible community. COVID-19 might have put a stop to Download 2020 and 2021, but the spirit of Download never died.

Download Festival’s Andy Copping said: “The last two years have been tough for all of us, and we were beyond gutted not to be able to experience Download Festival with you all. We gave you Download TV to reflect on memories of the past, and what the festival means to all of us. Download 2022 is going to be something special and go down in the history books as when the Download family reunited. We’re going to be working hard behind the scenes to make Download 2022 an unforgettable experience and a celebration of the festival we all love.”

Download Festival is the home of rock music and takes place on the sacred grounds of Donington Park, which has been associated with rock since the eighties. The festival attracts icons of rock and metal to its main stage, plus some of the best and hottest new acts in the world.

2022 will also see some major site improvements such as The Village being moved closer to The Arena, which will also be located on hard standing ground. The move also means it will be located just minutes away from the Access Campsite with fans now able to go freely from their camp to The Village without leaving solid ground. There is also a new Circular Camping option, offering clean upcycled tents and camping equipment which will ensure that even fans in the furthest campsites will reach their tents in 25 minutes (down almost an hour in previous years). Also, alongside new locations for all campsites, the new Castle Donington Bypass has made the addition of an East Car Park possible for the very first time.

The prices of tickets are very reasonable, with 5 nights Standard, Quiet or Eco Camping costing £268.00 for an adult and £119.40 for children under the age of twelve.

For 3 nights Standard, Quiet or Eco Camping the cost is £260.00 for an adult and a child’s ticket will cost £114.00.

For a weekend, no camping ticket for The Arena entry only will cost an adult £233.00 and £103.10 for a child.
