After celebrating their remarkable 25th Anniversary last year, the band has reached new heights performing to sold-out crowds across some of the UK’s most iconic venues. Skipinnish have announced they will be returning to our stages for their 2025 headline tour in May.
Founded in 1999 by Angus MacPhail and Andrew Stevenson, Skipinnish’s roots are deeply entrenched in the rich musical traditions of Scotland. Throughout the years, the ensemble has expanded to welcome talented musicians who have added vibrant layers to the unique sound of Skipinnish. The influence of the Scottish Highlands is poignant throughout their music; and their ability to evoke the spirit and heart of Scotland in their self-penned songs has been a cornerstone to their mass-appeal.
Their 25th anniversary milestone were celebrated by the band’s biggest ever shows in Scotland’s most breathtaking venues, including an unforgettable televised concert at Edinburgh Castle. The occasion was a true testament to the impact Skipinnish has had on the Celtic music scene. This crowning achievement not only connected them to their long-term fans but resonated with a global audience too. In 2025, Skipinnish continue to inspire and entertain as a beacon of Scottish music.
