ShareSince the first performance of Riverdance thirty years ago, they have played more than 16,000 performances, been seen live by over 30 million people worldwide, played throughout 49 countries across 6 continents and has played to a global television audience of more than 3.5 billion people.
The 30-year anniversary celebrations have already begun and will tour Florida and will perform in 45 locations the USA and Canada. Riverdance will also perform in 30 dates across the UK before wrapping up the anniversary year in Belfast.
Riverdance is composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan.
Since Riverdance first emerged onto the world stage, its fusion of Irish and international dance and music has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. The Grammy award-winning music and the infectious energy of its mesmerising choreography and breathtaking performances has left audiences in awe and established Riverdance as a global cultural sensation. To celebrate this incredible 30th year milestone, Riverdance will embark on a special anniversary tour in 2025, bringing its magic to audiences around the world. The show will visit 30 UK venues – one for each year of its history – from August to December 2025.
This spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography and costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics. And for the first time Riverdance welcomes ‘The New Generation’ of performers, all of whom were not born when the show began 30 years ago.
