The Amazons have announced their November UK headline tour, their biggest run of shows to date. The tour will see them play to 25,000 people across the country, including London’s Brixton Academy.

The band recently released their single 25, taken from new album Future Dust which boasts drums inspired by Iggy Pop’s Lust For Life with nods to Queens Of The Stone Age and is a lyrical self-analysis of lead singer Matthew Thomson’s view of being 25.

He says of the track, “I wrote 25 two months before I turned 25, to try to work out where I am in life. The song mimics the confusion that I constantly feel, that everyone my age feels. Are we all narcissists or are we really switched on?”

Fuck fooling about. Containing Radio 1 play listed Doubt It and Mother, from as soon as it bursts out of the blocks; Future Dust barely pauses for breath. The Amazons’ sublime second album is as explosive as expected from the Reading rockers and is packed with surprises no one saw coming.
