London-born singer-songwriter Matilda Mann has captured the hearts of listeners with her glistening, delicate and dream-like storytelling. The rising star has announced that she is set for a UK headline tour in April 2025 including Birmingham’s O2 Academy 3 on Wednesday 23rd April and Manchester’s Band on the Wall on Friday 25th April.
This news follows the release of Mann’s debut album Roxwell which was released on Friday 28th February. Roxwell is a sonic evolution for Mann, each song written across a tapestry of places, from her bedroom to the mountains of the Peak District, to the light-filled apartment in Archway where she and collaborator Jonah Summerfield often worked.
Whilst grounded in her beloved indie folk, Roxwell also explores new musical territories, like the sultry pop hooks on Meet Cute (co-written with musician Oscar Scheller, whose credits include Arlo Parks, PinkPantheress and Rina Sawayama). Mann shares her excitement: “This is my debut album. Every song feels like a part of me, and I’m so, so excited that it’s finally coming out.’
In an exciting glimpse of what is to come, Mann has released a series of tracks from the forthcoming album including the most recent Everything I’m Not.
Mann has sold out headline London shows at Jazz Cafe, Lafayette and EartH, and has performed on the Park Stage at Glastonbury Festival. She recently featured on Bombay Bicycle Club’s single Fantasneeze and has collaborated with the US-based alt-pop artist Spill Tab.
