Gary Barlow performing at Sherwood Pines Nottinghamshire on Saturday 23rd June 2018

Last night for the second night of music at Sherwood Pines, it was Gary Barlow performing the last night of his mammoth tour which started way back on April 16th, and he sounded as fresh as he did when he appeared at the Royal Concert Hall only last month.

Warming up the crowd was Jason Brock who had performed for Barlow on the reality show Let It Shine and now had the opportunity to perform before a capacity crowd who gave him a real welcome as he belted out Whitney Houston’s Run To You. A sometimes emotional Brock shone with Unstoppable and Promise before finishing with Wild Heart, proving that he has a career ahead of him.

Coming onto the stage to a cacophony of noise, Barlow was full of mischief and fun. With the crowd at the front waving banners and screaming their lungs out, Greatest Days and These Days had them waving their arms aloft. Live Those Days Again was performed with different words and made mention of Robbie Williams being Barlow’s nightmare.

Asking how many men there were in the crowd he joked that there was never a queue at the men’s toilets at his gigs before he performed Open Road, a song he said had surprisingly re-charted.

Pray had the crowd singing all of the words and A Million Love Songs saw Claire from Edinburgh join him on stage to be serenaded in true Barlow fashion. There was a segment that saw him delve into some songs from musicals and the likes of Dare and Something About This Night in truth lost some of this enamoured crowd for a while but he was back on track for Everything Changes, Shine, Patience and Back For Good.

With a run in to the end with the likes of Rule The World and Never Forget, it was fire extinguishers at the ready for Relight My Fire as the excited crowd were dangerously close to igniting this wonderful setting.
